DMCA / Copyright Policy

Stageunderground respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy describes how to report copyright infringement and how we handle such reports, in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content on Stageunderground infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• Identification of the specific URL(s) or content on Stageunderground that you claim is infringing
• Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf

2. Where to Send Notices

DMCA takedown notices should be sent to:

3. What Happens After You File

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

• Review the notice for completeness and validity
• Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
• Notify the user who posted the content
• Provide the user with an opportunity to file a counter-notice

We process takedown requests within 1–3 business days of receiving a valid notice.

4. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the content that was removed and the location where it appeared
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or the district where your address is located if outside the U.S.)
• A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original takedown notice

5. Repeat Infringers

Stageunderground maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We also reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts without prior notice for clear cases of infringement.

6. Artist Responsibility

Artists using Stageunderground to distribute music are solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary rights, including master recording rights, publishing rights, and any required licenses or clearances. Uploading content you do not have the rights to is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in content removal and account termination.

7. False Claims

Filing a false DMCA notice may result in legal liability for damages. Make sure you have a good-faith belief that the content infringes your copyright before filing a notice.
